Does the iPhone Duo work on Vetra Mobile?
Yes. The iPhone Duo is eSIM only and Vetra activates on eSIM. Buy it unlocked and you can bring it to Vetra the day it comes out.
Yes. If your iPhone Duo is unlocked, it works on Vetra.
Apple announced the iPhone Duo on September 9. It's the first foldable iPhone, with a 5.4-inch screen on the outside and a 7.6-inch screen when you open it. Pre-orders start October 16 and it goes on sale October 23, starting at $1,999.
It uses eSIM only
The iPhone Duo has no SIM card slot in any country. That's fine on Vetra. Every Vetra plan activates on eSIM, and most people are up and running the same day they sign up. The iPhone Duo supports 5G, and Vetra runs on America's largest 5G network.
Buy it unlocked
This is the one thing to get right. A phone that's locked to another carrier won't work on Vetra until that carrier unlocks it.
If you buy from Apple and pay in full, pick the option to connect to a carrier later and the phone comes unlocked. If you pay monthly through Apple, check the carrier requirement at checkout. Apple's lease program needs a plan with one of the big carriers and doesn't allow prepaid. If you buy it from another carrier, it's usually locked to them until you meet their unlock rules.
Setting it up on Vetra
Sign up at vetramobile.com and we email you a QR code to activate your eSIM. Then:
- Connect the iPhone Duo to Wi-Fi.
- Open the activation email on a different screen, like a laptop or tablet.
- Scan the QR code with the iPhone Duo's camera.
- Set Vetra as your default line for data when it asks.
- Wait a few minutes, then restart the phone.
After that, turn on 5G Auto in Settings, Cellular, Cellular Data Options, Voice & Data. Turn on Wi-Fi Calling too if your signal is weak at home.
Want to keep your number? The port is free. Enter your old account details during signup and keep your old line active until the switch finishes.
One feature that depends on your carrier
iOS 27 added iPhone Handoff, which lets one phone number live on two iPhones. It needs carrier support, and at launch only one carrier in the US offers it. Vetra doesn't offer it right now. Calls, texts, data and Wi-Fi Calling work on the iPhone Duo the same way they work on any iPhone on Vetra.
Which plan fits
You're going to watch a lot on a 7.6-inch screen, so data matters. Unlimited Elite is $65/mo with no data cap, 30GB of hotspot and a VSUB every month for a Twitch sub or YouTube Premium. If you use less, Unlimited Prime is $45/mo with 15GB of high-speed data, and Core is $25/mo with 5GB. Prices are with AutoPay, before taxes.
If your phone turns out to be locked or incompatible after you sign up, we refund the plan as long as the line hasn't been used.
