Will my phone work on Vetra?
Most likely, yes. iPhones, Samsungs, Androids, gaming phones. If it's unlocked, odds are it works. You can check compatibility during checkout. If your phone turns out to be locked or incompatible after signup, we'll refund the plan, as long as the line is unused.
What network powers Vetra?
Vetra runs on T-Mobile's 5G and 4G LTE network, America's largest and fastest 5G network. Same towers, same speeds, same coverage as T-Mobile's own customers.
Is there a contract?
No. Vetra is prepaid. You pay for the month you're in. Leave whenever.
Can I keep my number?
Yes, and the port is free. Enter your old account details once during signup, and we handle the switch. Your current service stays on until the port finishes, so no service gap and no missed calls.
How does the VSUB on Elite actually work?
Every month, you get a VSUB, a gift card for Twitch or YouTube, with more platforms on the way. Spend it however the platform allows: sub to a creator, become a member, or put it toward your own subscription. Claim it within your billing cycle, and once claimed, the gift card is good for a year.
FAQ
Plans & Pricing.
7 questions
What plans does Vetra offer?
Three plans, all with unlimited talk and text. Core ($25/mo): 5 GB of high-speed data as a hard cap, after which data stops until your next cycle unless you add a top-up or upgrade (no hotspot). Unlimited Prime ($45/mo): unlimited data, with the first 15 GB each cycle at high speed and reduced speeds after that, plus 5 GB of mobile hotspot. Unlimited Elite ($65/mo): truly unlimited high-speed data with no usage-based slowdown, 30 GB of mobile hotspot, 5 GB of international roaming, and a monthly VSUB.
Is AutoPay required?
Yes. AutoPay keeps pricing simple. What you see is what you pay. You can update your payment method anytime in your account.
Is there a contract?
No. Vetra is prepaid. You pay for the month you're in. Leave whenever.
Can I switch plans later?
Yes. Upgrades happen mid-cycle and you only pay the prorated difference, no waiting around. Downgrades and cancellations apply at the start of your next billing cycle. No fees, no contracts, no hoops.
What happens after I use my high-speed data?
On Prime, your first 15 GB each cycle is high-speed; after that, data keeps working at reduced speeds until your next cycle. On Elite, high-speed data is unlimited (during network congestion it may be briefly deprioritized, but there's no usage cap). On Core, data stops once your 5 GB is used. You can add a high-speed top-up to keep going: 5 GB for $10 or 10 GB for $20.
Are there hidden fees or surprise charges?
No. The plan price never changes, and there's no overage surprise, no slow-rolling intro pricing, no fine-print fees. Taxes and regulatory fees are set by your state and shown as their own line, itemized before you pay.
How do I cancel?
Contact support to cancel. Cancellations apply at the end of your current billing cycle. No early termination fees, ever.
FAQ
Coverage & Network.
5 questions
What network powers Vetra?
Vetra runs on T-Mobile's 5G and 4G LTE network, America's largest and fastest 5G network. Same towers, same speeds, same coverage as T-Mobile's own customers.
Will I get 5G everywhere?
5G covers more than 300 million Americans, but availability varies by location. Where 5G isn't available, your phone falls back to 4G LTE automatically, no setup needed. Check our Coverage page to see what's available at your address.
What about indoor coverage?
Most homes and offices get strong indoor coverage. If your building has weak signal, Vetra supports Wi-Fi calling. Your phone uses your home internet to make calls and send texts. Free, automatic, works on any compatible phone.
What if my address shows weak coverage?
Check the Coverage page first and take it seriously: if the map looks weak at your address, we'd rather you hold off than have a bad experience. Wi-Fi calling covers a lot of indoor dead spots, so talk to us before you write it off. Networks expand, so it's worth checking again later.
Is the coverage really the same as the major carriers?
Yes. Vetra runs on the same physical network infrastructure as T-Mobile customers. Same towers, same speeds. We're an MVNO, which means we lease network capacity instead of owning it. The result: same coverage, different bill.
FAQ
Phone & Activation.
5 questions
Will my phone work on Vetra?
Most likely, yes. iPhones, Samsungs, Androids, gaming phones. If it's unlocked, odds are it works. You can check compatibility during checkout. If your phone turns out to be locked or incompatible after signup, we'll refund the plan, as long as the line is unused.
How long does activation take?
If you went with eSIM, you can activate the same day you sign up, usually within minutes. A physical SIM ships free and arrives in a few days. Either way, the activation step itself takes about 5 minutes in your Vetra account.
Can I keep my number?
Yes, and the port is free. Enter your old account details once during signup, and we handle the switch. Your current service stays on until the port finishes, so no service gap and no missed calls.
What's the difference between eSIM and a physical SIM?
eSIM is a digital SIM that activates over the air. No shipping, no waiting. Most phones from the last few years support it. A physical SIM is the traditional card we ship to you. Free shipping, takes a few days. Either works the same once you're set up.
What if my phone is locked to another carrier?
You'll need to unlock it before it'll work on Vetra. Most carriers will unlock a phone for free if your account is in good standing. Contact your current carrier and ask them to unlock it. Once it's unlocked, you can switch to Vetra.
FAQ
Hotspot.
5 questions
How fast is hotspot data?
Hotspot uses the same 5G or 4G LTE connection as your phone. Speeds depend on your location. Typical 5G download speeds are between 89 and 418 Mbps, fast enough for streaming, video calls, and most cloud work.
What happens after I use my hotspot allotment?
On Prime, you get 5 GB of mobile hotspot drawn from your plan's data; after 5 GB of hotspot use, hotspot stops while your main-line data keeps going. On Elite, you get 30 GB of hotspot; after that, hotspot stops but your main line stays unlimited. Core doesn't include hotspot.
How many devices can I connect?
That depends on your phone, not Vetra. Most modern phones support 5 to 10 simultaneous connections. Check your phone's hotspot settings to see your limit and adjust if needed.
Does hotspot work with international roaming?
Yes, with the right plan. On Elite, hotspot works within your 5 GB of included international roaming. On Prime, you'd add the Daily International Roaming add-on ($10/day for 5 GB, charged only on the days you use it), which your hotspot can use too. Core doesn't include hotspot.
How do I turn on hotspot?
On iPhone: Settings, Personal Hotspot, toggle on. On Android: Settings, Connections, Mobile Hotspot. Set a password and connect from any device. No special setup needed on Vetra's end.
FAQ
International.
6 questions
What countries does Vetra support?
Vetra supports international roaming in over 230 countries and territories. A short list of high-fraud destinations and travel modes (like in-flight networks and cruise ships) isn't supported. Contact support for the current supported-country list.
Can I make calls internationally?
International add-ons cover data only, not voice calls. The good news: you can use Wi-Fi calling, FaceTime, WhatsApp, Signal, or any other app-based call to reach anyone for free over your data connection. Most people don't miss traditional voice calling abroad.
Is roaming included in my plan automatically?
Only on Elite, which gets 5 GB of international roaming built in. On Core and Prime, add the Daily International Roaming add-on before you go: $10/day for 5 GB in supported countries. You're only charged on the days you actually use data abroad.
What happens if I run out of data abroad?
If you've used your Elite 5 GB or your daily roaming data, data pauses until it renews or you add more. You can manage roaming by calling support. Wi-Fi will still work normally.
How do I activate roaming on my phone?
On iPhone: Settings, Cellular, Cellular Data Options, then turn Data Roaming on. On Android: Settings, Connections, Mobile Networks, then enable Data Roaming. Vetra handles the rest on our end as soon as you're connected to an international network.
Can I use hotspot internationally?
Yes, with the right plan. On Elite, hotspot works within your 5 GB of included international roaming. On Prime, you'd add the Daily International Roaming add-on ($10/day for 5 GB, charged only on the days you use it), which your hotspot can use too. Core doesn't include hotspot.
FAQ
VSUB & Creators.
7 questions
What is a VSUB and how does it work?
A VSUB is a free monthly gift card for Twitch or YouTube, with more platforms on the way. It comes with the Unlimited Elite plan. Spend it however the platform allows: sub to a creator, become a member, or put it toward your own subscription. Claim it within your billing cycle, and once claimed, the gift card is good for a year.
Which plans get a VSUB?
VSUBs are part of Unlimited Elite. One every month. Core and Unlimited Prime don't include a VSUB. Every plan still backs a Vetra-partnered creator if you pick one at signup. That part's universal.
What if I forget to use my VSUB?
You have your billing cycle to claim it. If you don't claim it before the next cycle starts, that drop is gone, but a fresh one replaces it. Nothing bad happens. And once you've claimed a VSUB, the gift card itself is good for a year, so there's no rush to spend it.
Do I have to support a creator with my VSUB?
No. Your VSUB is yours to spend however the platform lets you. Back a creator, gift a sub to a stranger, or keep it for your own subscription. Whatever you'd normally do.
Do I have to pick a creator at signup?
No. Picking a Vetra creator is totally optional. Drop their code in if you want us to back them every month, or skip the field and sign up regular. You can always add or change a creator later.
How is the VSUB different from picking a creator at signup?
Two different things. Your VSUB is the monthly gift card you control, spend it on anyone. Your creator pick at signup is who Vetra backs directly, every month you're on the network, and that pick has to be a creator on our partner program (they have a unique creator code). The two run independently.
What about Apple Music, Spotify, or other platforms?
Right now, VSUBs work on Twitch and YouTube. Kick, Spotify, Apple Music, and more are on the way. The platforms we add next will be the ones our community asks for.
