What you should know before you go.

Data only, no traditional calls or texts

The pass covers data. Use FaceTime, FaceTime Audio, WhatsApp, iMessage, Signal, or any other app you already use to call and text. They all work fine on the day pass.

Some places excluded

A short list of destinations and travel modes aren't supported. If your trip is on this list, you'll need Wi-Fi only.

Speed structure, plainly

Each day pass gives you 2 GB of high-speed data, then slows to 256 kbps for the rest of the 24 hours. Daily ceiling of 5 GB. We mark this clearly because we don't think "unlimited" should be hidden behind asterisks.

You’re in control of the meter

Auto-renew is on by default so your phone keeps working without you thinking about it. We text you the moment a new pass starts. Toggle auto-renew off in your account anytime, even mid-trip.

It activates the second you use data abroad

The first time your phone uses cellular data in a supported country, the $10 pass kicks in automatically. We'll text you the moment it does. If you'd rather not be charged daily, toggle auto-renew off in your account before your trip.

FAQ

Day pass questions.

9 questions

What does a day pass cost?

$10 per day. Activated automatically the first time you use cellular data abroad. 24 hours per pass, starting from that first use.

How does "a day" work?

A pass is 24 hours from the first time you use cellular data internationally. Land at 11pm, use data at 8am the next morning. Your day starts at 8am, not 11pm. The next pass starts 24 hours later if you keep using data.

What if I don't use data abroad that day?

No data, no charge. The pass only activates when you actually use cellular data. Connect to Wi-Fi all day in your hotel? You won't pay anything.

How fast is the data?

Each pass gives you 2 GB at high speed, then slows to 256 kbps for the rest of the 24 hours, with a 5 GB ceiling for the day. High-speed is the same fast LTE/5G you get at home. 256 kbps is enough for messaging, maps, and most travel essentials.

Can I make calls internationally?

Day passes cover data, not traditional voice calls or SMS. Use FaceTime, FaceTime Audio, WhatsApp, iMessage, Signal, or any other app. They all work great on the day pass and they don't cost extra.

Can I turn off auto-renew?

Yes, anytime. Open your account, head to your active line, and toggle auto-renew off. Your current pass still runs out its 24 hours, but no new pass starts after that.

What's the difference for Elite users?

Elite includes 5 GB of international data per month built in. Use that first, and you won't need a day pass at all on lighter trips. For longer trips, day passes activate after the bundle is used.

What countries does Vetra support?

200+ countries and territories. A short list of countries and travel modes is excluded. See the "What you should know" section above for the full list.

How do I activate roaming on my phone?

On iPhone: Settings, Cellular, Cellular Data Options, then turn Data Roaming on. On Android: Settings, Connections, Mobile Networks, then enable Data Roaming. Vetra handles the rest as soon as you're connected to an international network.

Wherever you go,
your phone keeps up.

$10 a day. Activates only when you use it. Built to travel with you, not against you.
