Vetra in Greece: the Athens Riviera, Mykonos and Santorini

Photos from the Athens Riviera, Mykonos and Santorini, and how your Vetra phone works when you land in Greece.

Vetra works in Greece. These photos are from a trip that started on the coast south of Athens and went out to Mykonos and Santorini. The last section covers how your phone works while you're there.

The Athens Riviera

The coast south of Athens has pine trees that run right down to the water and small coves with clear, calm water. The area around Vouliagmeni is a short drive from the city, so it's an easy first stop before the islands.

Mykonos

The bays on the south coast of Mykonos fill up with boats, and white houses cover the hills around them. In summer the oleander blooms in pink and white.

Santorini

Oia sits on the northern tip of Santorini, on the cliffs above the caldera. The village is white houses stacked down the cliff with blue domes on top. At sunset the cliffs across the caldera turn orange.

Boats also go out to Nea Kameni, the volcanic island in the middle of the caldera.

How Vetra works in Greece

Greece is one of the 200+ countries and territories where Vetra works, and you don't have to buy anything before you go. Turn on data roaming before you fly. The International Day Pass starts on its own the first time your phone uses cellular data in Greece, and we text you when it starts.

The Day Pass is $10 a day, and you only pay for days you use cellular data abroad. Each pass lasts 24 hours and gives you 2GB of high-speed data, then 256 kbps for the rest of the 24 hours, up to 5GB a day. Auto-renew is on by default. You can turn it off in your account anytime, even in the middle of a trip.

If you're on Unlimited Elite, your plan includes 5GB of international data. You use that first, and the Day Pass only starts once it runs out.

International service is data only. To make calls while you're in Greece, use Wi-Fi Calling.

The full country list is on our global roaming page. Prices are before taxes. Questions before your trip? Call us 24/7 at (833) 888-3872.
