Billing

Billing and AutoPay.

What every line on your bill means, and what to do when a payment fails.

Reading your bill

Two parts: your plan charge and taxes and fees set by your state. No overage surprises, no intro-price games, no fine-print fees. Every charge is itemized on the billing page in your account, along with every past statement.

See a partial charge?

That happens when a line joins or changes partway through your cycle. A new line is billed for the days it was actually active and then syncs up with your normal billing date, and a mid-cycle upgrade is prorated the same way. Left alone, your plan charge doesn't move: the number you signed up at is the number you pay.

AutoPay

AutoPay is built into every plan. It's what keeps the price flat and your service uninterrupted. Your card is charged automatically each cycle, and every statement stays in your account.

You can add a card, swap which one is primary, or remove an old one anytime under Payment methods.

Payment didn't go through?

  • Temporary decline (like insufficient funds): we retry automatically within a day, and once more before anything touches your service.
  • Expired or replaced card: those can't be retried. Update your card in your account and billing runs again the next morning.
  • Card fine but still failing? That's usually your bank's fraud filter. Call the number on the back of your card, it takes two minutes to clear.

If service pauses over a missed payment, it comes back shortly after your payment goes through. Restart your phone to hurry it along.

Refunds

Refunds go back to your original payment method, typically within 3 to 5 business days. You'll see it reflected on your statement too.

Good to know

  • We take credit and debit cards. Bank transfers aren't supported.
  • Your billing date is the day of the month you activated. It's shown in your account.
  • Statements live in your account whenever you need one.
